Thought
If I entered a McDonalds and asked for a Whopper, I’d be asking for something that couldn’t be provided since a Whopper is Burger Kings signature burger.
Sometimes it would seem that we oversimplify prayer. What on earth did Jesus mean when he taught us to ask, and that whosever asked would receive. add to this his teaching about asking for bread and not giving a stone.
I have asked plenty of questions but it would seem to me that my questions must be the equivalent of asking a Burger King employee for a Big Mac.
What is it then that I am supposed to be asking? Seeking? Knocking?
Is there a list of correct questions? Questions that are answerable? Or have they been answered and I am just too blind or deaf to see or hear them?
Quote.
Try to exclude the possibility of suffering which the order f nature and the existence of free wills involve, and you find you have excluded life itself.
