Don’t film the fireworks
Daily Thought No. 76
Tonight my daughter got hold of my wife’s phone and started recording the fireworks. I told her that if she was going to film anything she needed to film the people who were there watching. It will be the people we will want to remember years from now — no one will want to rewatch fireworks.

Reminds me of a time when we went dolphin watching on a boat trip. I was so obsessed with capturing the moment on camera that I missed the moment. Now all I have is a few blurry images and no real memory and wonder of the event.
