If we can do it once…

Most couples manage to make Valentine’s Day one of love, appreciation, kindness and of rekindling romantic feeling.

This got me thinking that if we can be kind, thoughtful, giving, loving and respectful for one day, it proves that it’s possible and could be repeated every day.

Now just because something is possible, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy to do, but it’s cause for optimism and belief that it can be done and repeated.

We all know the song that says: “oh I wish it could be Christmas every day”

Perhaps we could not only say, but also strive to make every day like Valentine’s Day.

Not so much with the elaborate gifts, surprises and cliche gestures, but with the thoughtfulness, kindness and expression of love that seem to be easier and more evident on Valentine’s Day.

Imagine how good and how sweet our most precious relationship would be if we could make more days like Valentine’s Day.

Now I’m not naive, I know that no marriage will ever be perfect, flawless, or easy! But perhaps today is a great day to recommit and reconnect with the one we promised to love forever.
