It was easy, even convenient, for me to say that I believed and trusted God when the sun was shining in my life, when progress was being made and miracles seemed abundant. But now I find myself in somewhat of a spiritual winter where everything feels colder and dormant and I am tempted to ask “were you really there?”. It is hard sometimes to believe that winter will give way to spring and then to glorious summer. In the bleak midwinter, it can be difficult to remember the summers of years gone by that were filled with plentiful harvest.
