I have wondered if Jesus chose to keep His scars because they are how I will be able to identify Him. Indeed, the scars in His hands, wrists, and feet are something I celebrate and rejoice over. Perhaps my scars will stay with me for the same reasons Jesus kept His. Although I don’t see it yet, maybe in eternity I won’t want to get rid of my scars even if it’s offered.
