Sometimes in an effort to create the perfect Christmas, I forget that the magnificent moment of Christ’s birth happened in what must have been a messy stable.
Upon reflection, I realize that many of my most magnificent moments didn’t occur in perfect places. Life is often a messy story punctuated with perfection.
It’s been in the moments of struggle and suffering inherent with living that I have found Jesus.
So if Christmas isn’t perfect this year or life seems a mess, let us remember that the shepherds found Jesus in an imperfect messy stable, and we too can find him in the most imperfect moments and messes of our lives too.
