One piece of marriage advice I could offer is to marry someone difficult to love but not so difficult your marriage will fail. Marriage’s sole purpose, I believe, is not to make us happy, but to also to make us holy. The difficulty of marriage to an imperfect and sometimes difficult person to love can provide us the ideal environment and opportunity for refinement, purification and development of Christlike character. God wants us to become like Him; good, forgiving, loving, this is one reason why I believe we are commanded to marry.
