Más Christ.

Over the past year I have intermittently, but sufficiently practiced Spanish on Duolingo to know that Más means more.
Which got me thinking about Christ-más or reversed más Christ.
It’s often easier for us to focus on Jesus during the Christmas season when all the decorations, lights and traditions abound. But we need más Christ all year long.
I often crave that ‘christmassy’ feeling, which can sometimes feel elusive. It certainly did this year for me. Perhaps that’s why these thoughts have been on my mind.
Christmas 2022 has now passed but the best time to start preparing for Christmas 2023 is today and every day for the next 364 days by making más time for Christ in our every day lives.
This will of course look different for each of us. For me it means spending more time in my knees talking with him. It means reading his teachings and not just being a hearer of the word but more of a doer.
Hopefully you had a happy Christmas. If that Christmassy feeling was elusive for you too this year, perhaps you can join me in finding más time for Jesus this coming year.
Happy Christmas
