We achieve great things by consistently showing up, doing the small things, taking the little steps. There are no ‘overnight successes’ in life. Great relationships, skills, talents, abilities, accomplishments, businesses, wealth, character, they all take time and consistency.
Sporadic bursts, or inconsistent motivation never takes us where we want to go, but consistency does.
Consistency is what stands between where we are today and where we hope to be in the future. This is true for almost every area of our lives. It doesn’t matter what our goal is, consistency is the pathway to the summit of success.
It isn’t a lack of resources or knowledge that holds us back from achieving our goals or potential, it’s failing to show up after the first few days, or quitting the moment we experience pain or giving up because we don’t see immediate results.
Consistency is a simple concept, but it’s not easy or painless. We can either choose the pain of consistency followed by great accomplishment, or the pain of regret and disappointment.
