Prolonged periods of prosperity can be the birthplace of some of our greatest problems. Particularly pride, entitlement and ingratitude. I see these in myself and try to quash them because these things are like poison to my soul, and I have drunk a lot of poison. Tragically it also seems like many if not most others in America are drinking too. Dramatic disruptions to our prosperity might be the remedy.
