Questions that can be answered

C.S. Lewis once wrote that “Nonsense remains nonsense even when we talk it about God”. I believe that some of our questions, even if they aren’t complete nonsense, are unanswerable. When I say that I believe God to be all powerful, for me this doesn’t mean he can do anything and everything. Since my agency is paramount, and perhaps eternally indestructible, God cannot answer prayers that override agency, my own or that of another. I have often joked with my own children when they have complained that I ‘Always’ say no respond by saying “maybe you could try asking a question I can say yes to.”
