These two pictures were taken on the same bench only 2 minutes apart. The only difference between them is the direction I’m facing when taking the picture.
I like these two pictures because they illustrate to me how life usually isn’t exclusively idyllic or tumultuous, it’s an interwoven mixture of the two.
Life is filled with beautiful, almost perfect moments whilst simultaneously containing billowing clouds and windy rain showers.
Sometimes what makes the difference in life is the direction we choose to face.
Focusing on the good won’t prevent the storms from coming, but focusing on the storms causes us to miss the beautiful moments that life is presenting us.
