Almost nine years ago I left the United Kingdom bound for a new life in America.
That’s meant missing the annual Webbs walking weekend in the Lake District National park eight times.
But today, after these many years of absence, I had the privilege of walking 16-miles in some of Englands most beautiful mountains.
No grand thoughts today, just tired legs, but a heart filled with gratitude for the people and places I have had the pleasure of knowing and visiting.
It can be easy for me to forget how fortunate I have been but today as I got reacquainted with extended family and climbed four different peaks, I was reminded of just how good life has been.
