When we fall down.

I tripped this morning. The pothole and the darkness got the better of me on my daily run today and I fell over.
Fortunately I didn’t go down too hard and my injuries were minimal. But it hurt. So for a moment I stayed on my hands and knees on the cold ground while I collected my feelings of sadness and embarrassment.
But in less than a minute I was back up and finishing my run.
Sometimes in life we fall down and it hurts. It’s okay to take a moment to collect our feelings but we must get up and complete the run. The alternative is to give up and stay on the ground and never realize our potential.
